| The semester is finally over! It's been a busy one, to be sure. In addition to classes and finals I've been knee deep in revisions on The Shadow Mile for Agent Amy. Three or four publishers are waiting to read it in January, so the deadline is drawing ever nearer. Eek.
The one thing, for any aspiring writers out there, that you never plan on is chapter-cide. When I embarked on revisions, I knew I would have to change things, and I knew I would have to ADD chapters, but it didn't occur to me that chapters and words I really really enjoyed would have to be discarded. All part of the game though. As my agent says, it's tough, but it prepares you for the hell editors will put you through after they've bought the book.
Anyway, sorry I have not been around, I'm hoping to rectify that. |

| Wow.
I apologize for being a ghost. The past few months/years have been occupied. My major dominated almost every second of my life this past year, making writing difficult. Now that summer is upon us, I have three weeks before I start MORE art classes and hopefully a job, so I am using this time wisely in the writing department.
I have two major projects right now
1. Nell- Major revisions to the novel I wrote last summer. I have had so many issues with this story because I didn't think it through enough before I began writing. Always outline all major plot points, or else it will come back to bite you. This story has been the death of me, and I'm just now figuring out how to tell it.
2. A Fairy Tale- Both because Ive always wanted to write one, and because I need one for an upcoming visual communications project. I did things right at least and used an OUTLINE this time.
Three weeks to write one book and fix another. Shit. Why do I always do this?
